transactions, creditors' claims (including public sale proceedings),
and tort claims. Our arbitration practice has included proceedings
before the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association and the Construction
Dispute Examination Committee under the supervision of the National
Land and Transportation Ministry, as well as other arbitration bodies.
Note that Mr. Yasuhei Taniguchi, Professor Emeritus of The Kyoto
University and one of our of-counsel members is internationally known
as a Director at the International Council for Commercial Arbitration
(ICCA), which is the most important worldwide institution in the
field of the international commercial arbitration. Emeritus Prof.
Taniguchi is also an advisor for the Japan Commercial Arbitration
